It was decided on the 6th that the leading actor of the musical "DREAM BOYS", KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya (21), will once again make an appearance next year in March in the Teikoku Theater in Marunouichi, Tokyo. This musical is currently being performed right now in the same theater, with Kamenashi as the leading actor, as well as Tanaka Koki (21) and Musical Academy’s Yara Tomoyuki (24) as part of the main cast. When a notice that tickets for the musical were on sale came out in July, on the next day, all the the tickets were sold out, and proves what a popular musical this is.

Today was the first day that this performance was seen by the press. During an interview after the performance, Kamenashi said "I was really surprised, because just some time ago, one of the big-wigs told me that I’d be doing this again in March next year". Tanaka and Yara who were next to him at that time said "I didn’t hear about that" at the same time, and Yara said "I wonder what my position [here] will become..?", with an air of anticipation and unease. Tanaka also joked that maybe his own role would be "Done by (KAT-TUN’s) Nakamaru Yuichi". Mr. Johnny Kitagawa has also mentioned that there are plans for performances in the same theater in January and February next year. Thus, for a consecutive 3 months next year, performances by Johnny’s will dominate the musical world.

The DREAM BOYS musical first began during the 16th year of the Heisei (2004), with Takizawa Hideaki as the leading actor, and this time round, it will be the 5th DREAM BOY production. One of the things about this musical that stands out are Kamenashi’s flying antics - he will be performing all sorts of flying techniques upon a swing 15 meters above ground during all 14 shows. In one show, the total amount of time he spends in the air is 15 minutes. Kamenashi said "I’m the type who doesn’t like to sit on roller coasters, but I’ve grown alot since then. Now I’m Japan’s number 1 man whose feet don’t touch the ground" in a joking manner. Today, Yamashita Tomohisa (22) from NEWS was in attendance. There was a surprise performance where he performed "Seishun Amigo" on stage with Kamenashi. This musical will be performed until the 30th.
